Understanding the cost of living in Indonesia

Hey! I'm from the US and trying to get a better understanding of the cost of living in Indonesia. I'd really like to know what the usual expenses are for things like housing, transportation, groceries, healthcare, education, and utilities. Does living near the coast change anything in terms of costs? Any other everyday expenses I should keep in mind would be great too. If you have any experiences or tips, I'd really appreciate it. Are there other Southeast Asian countries that I should look into as well?

Heard from some of my cousins that costs in Indonesia vary by location, coastal cities tend to be a bit pricier. Housing, food and transport are usually cheap compared to the US, but healthcare, schools and imported goods can add up. Utilities are a bit reasonable yeah, and living near the coast might slightly raise rent but give access to fresh local food. Thailand, Vietnam and Malaysia are worth looking at too since costs and lifestyle can differ
